On the first glance, the Islamic world seems to be totally united and brotherly protecting all its members all around the globe. We saw such behavior recently in two examples:

• After Quran burnings in Sweden there are massive protests in Islamic countries and also in countries with an Islamic minority, like western European countries.
• After the attack on Israel by Hamas in October 2023 there are huge solidarity movements for Palestine, by the same countries and the same Islamic minorities.

Such unified behavior is typical for social groups seeing themselves in the defense – like minorities or countries under pressure and sanctions, like Iran.

However, this community is only united at the surface, and even more, not even united by religion, but united by socio-economic means and there are two strong arguments for this view: the Uyghurs and Islamic relations with China and the regional power struggle between Iran and Saudi Arabia.

The Islamic world claims to be a community one for all and all for one, Muslims helping each other all around the world and defend themselves as a solid block against all dangers to their ideology. But the Islamic world is divided and economics are more important than everything else. Saudi Arabia (and allies) and Iran (and allies, like Syria) have been rivals since the fall of the ottoman empire.

But the worst lie the Islamic world is telling itself is that it stands up together against all oppression to Muslims. East Asian Islam seems to value less than Arabic Islam. Where are the protests of Muslims against the CCP? Why are there so close relations between China and Islamic countries like Afghanistan or Iran? Because of money, that’s all. After the Taliban takeover, China became the most important ally of Afghanistan. After new sanctions against Iran and Russia’s invasion in Ukraine, Russia and China became the most important ally to Iran. And that even! After knowing that MILLIONS! Islamic Uyghurs are oppressed and detained in China. China hates its Islamic citiziens and even then, there was not a single protest in the Islamic world and no consequences for China. Imaging this happening in Europe – there would be massive terrorist attacks and cutting off political relations. For how much longer will the Islamic community stay silent?

The propaganda of the last 30 years that the US is the biggest danger to Islam (funded by Iran) worked very well, making Muslims blind to the Islam-eradicating danger in the east.

The person who unexpectedly reached out to the author to provide the files acted on a solely individual basis, attached no conditions to their provision or publication, and wishes to remain anonymous due to personal safety concerns. While some of the material had been stored in encrypted form, the individual was able to decrypt part of the files through mechanisms that were communicated to the author. The author himself was not involved in any part of the process required to obtain or decrypt the files.”
