On 06.06.2023, 02:50 local Ukrainian time, the Kakhovka dam was destroyed. The resulting flood is so extensive, it can be observed from space even with relatively low resolution sensors.
Before the flood:
The two Sentinel 3 satellite sensors have a GSD between 350 and 1000 m, but a global revisit time of 2 days. For a region in higher latitudes this means a temporal resolution of 1 day:
